The present political, economic and social systems of this world are all together called “this present evil
world,” (Galatians 1: 4). The reason why these systems are so called is because they all are fueled, and
operated by an inate system of evil. The “law of Moses,” according to the Bible, was “added because of
transgression,” (Gal. 3: 9). Nations, at one time, operated by the law of eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth,
etc. (Ex. 21: 23 – 25). That is evil for evil. Balancing evil with evil. Most people like to feel that things do
not operate that way any more. Of course, there are prisons to punish lawbreakers, and everybody
admits that prisons are necessary, unless of course we begin doing as some scientists feel we should,
performing lobotomies on the brains of criminals so that they will never again lean toward breaking the
law. But, for now, it is possible to say that the old eye for an eye rule still holds in some instances, as in
criminal executions. A person kills someone and then the state kills the killer … thus, balancing death with
death.
All civil and criminal laws actually operate that way because law was made for the transgressors. But the
system of evil for evil can never actually bring about peace between the nations nor love of man for man.
Yahshua taught us to pray: “Deliver us from evil,” (Matt. 6: 13). He “gave himself for our sins, that he
might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of Yahweh, the Father,” (Gal. 1: 4). Even
the religious ceremonial law required the symbolic shedding of animal blood, typical death, for sin. Now by
the death of Yahshua he “hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us,” (Gal.
3: 13).
I once enjoyed a conversation with an old minister name Angelo Traina. He was a Sacred Name minister
and he often puzzled over the reasons for evil in the world. His philosophy was a simple one: “Yahweh
brought evil to the world because there had to be some way to illustrate how man’s misdirection and his
desire to make his own rules would turn out. If we can see this, and learn it, there need be no more evil.
And, if there is no more evil, there need be no more restrictive laws to hold us back.”
I liked Mr. Traina. And I liked his philosophy. If we can learn what Yahweh wants us to learn about evil in
the world, there need be no restrictive laws. Can you imagine how wonderful our world would be if we didn’
t have to worry about breaking some kind of law?
But, evil is as much a creation of Yahweh as is Good. Evil exists as a means to teach us what the result of
disobedience will be. But, evil can never run rampant in the world to the extent that it is out of control. This
is because Yahweh actually limits evil so that only a certain amount is permitted to take place daily:
“Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof,” (Matt. 6: 34). Yahweh never allows any evil to take place that
cannot be transmuted into good. “Surely the wrath of man shall praise thee, the remainder of wrath thou
shalt restrain,” (Psalm 76: 10). So, you see, every evil thing that is done or has befallen any of us can
and will be available to change into something good. It is a part of the law of Yahweh. For those who
wonder “Why me?” when something happens to them, it is a part of Yahweh’s intention. They have a
golden opportunity to wallow in the evil for a time, and then they are supposed to take a good look at what
has happened in order to search for the seed of good within it. And then they can transmute the things
that have happened to them into something good.
So, evil belongs among us. Yahweh created it for a reason. An example: The story of Joseph, in the book
of Genesis. Many people have remarked about the horrible way Joseph was treated by his own brothers.
But, then, later, after he became Prime Minister of Egypt, he was able to reunite his family and give them
a golden opportunity to salvage their poverty and disaster. When he was finally reunited with his brothers,
and they recognized him, the Bible says they were “sore afraid.” But, Joseph said: “As for you, ye thought
evil against me, but Yahweh meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people
alive,” (Genesis 50: 20). Another example is Samson. When Samson was a Judge, his conduct was
anything but commendable. He married contrary to the laws of Yahweh. He took a Philistine wife. Samson
didn’t know it and “his father and mother knew not that it was of Yahweh that he sought an occasion
against the Philistines, for at that time the Philistines has dominion over Israel,” (Judges 14: 4). The
Samson episode was Yahweh’s way of bringing about the defeat of the Philistines.
Yahweh often uses evil in order to bring about something good. Yahweh is absolutely aware of man’s
deceitful heart, (Jer. 17: 9). Often He uses our deceitful hearts to bring about His own plans on the earth.
He uses the evil of the nations and of individuals as His vehicles to convey His own system of good.
Yahweh told Paul that He would send him to Rome. But He did not tell him that the Romans would arrest
him and give him free passage on a ship to that nation. Eventually,, Paul’s obedience to Yahweh would
cost him his life … but the end result was the spreading of the gospel.
Some would see my message and state: “Well, why worry about anything. I’ll just sit here and read a book
and everything will work out anyway.” But, that’s not the right way to see things. For example, in the
parable of the talents the person who had received the one talent came and said, “Master, I knew that
thou art a hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed. And I
was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth. Lo, there thou hast that is thine,“ (Matthew 25: 24 –
25). But, Yahshua called that man an “unprofitable servant,” and cast him into outer darkness. Fit
punishment for a person who didn’t even try to understand. It is our duty and our privilege to work with
Yahweh to carry out His plan, even when we do not understand it. By doing the job Yahweh has assigned
us, by making the best of life and what it hands us, we are developing our talents to their fullest measure.
And that pleases Yahweh.
So, what about The Devil? Why was he created?
The “Devil” was created for the purpose of testing and trying mankind. For opposing and attempting to
destroy everything that is good. Mankind, the Creation, is evaluated by what he does when faced with the
work of The Devil. The Devil, or Satan, words which actually mean: “adversary,” cannot do anything to the
earth or to us without Yahweh’s permission. When Satan accused Job, he had to get Yahweh’s
permission to tempt, try and afflict Job, (Job 1: 6 – 12). Yahweh told him precisely how far he could go.
He gave Satan permission to destroy Job’s belonging, his family, his health right up to the brink of taking
his life. But, He would not permit Satan to take Job’s life. But, all the destruction Satan brought upon Job
worked out in the end. In the end, Job would up with very much more than he had at the beginning.
Those same rules that Yahweh imposed on Satan’s dealing with Job also apply to us. “There hath no
temptation taken you but such as is common to man, but Yahweh is faithful, who will not suffer you to be
tempted above that ye are able, but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be
able to bear it,” (1 Cor. 10: 13). Whether you realize it or not, all temptation, and all trouble in life is for the
purpose of bringing you and I nearer to the Heavenly Father.
The system of evil tests Yahweh’s people, as it were, in the “furnace of fire.” This is how the body of
Yahweh’s chosen ones are trained to reign on earth during the coming Righteous World that takes place
after the Last Great Day. Eventually the system of evil will be ended forever and Satan will be
“destroyed.” There are a great number of people who worship Satan and who feel that he is more
powerful than Yahweh. But, it’s the other way around. Satan does not use Yahweh. YAHWEH USES
SATAN!
I have in my library several books … the Necronomicon, for one. In that book, a case is made for utilizing
certain spells and chants to bring Satan across and to make him work for the user. What a joke. Should
you ever participate in something like a Necro-spell, your very soul is in danger of being taken by Satan
because by using the spells and chants you are implying that you have no confidence in Yahweh, and
Yahweh may very well abandon you to the evil spirits.
That’s the biggest threat to SEANCES. The medium who oversees seances is never sure who comes
across to speak with her or him. Most of the time, the power that manifests in a séance is fully aware that
the poor dolts who are sitting around the table are not students of the Bible and have no knowledge of
Yahweh’s will for man. Usually, a power manifests and claims to speak for whoever is being summoned …
but what is really happening is that a spirit is sent to test the weaknesses of the inquirers so that they can
be used against them. People who try the “spirit world” are really inviting disciples of the Evil One to come
in and probe them, as Satan probed Job. No good can ever come from that because by going to a
medium, who usually knows nothing at all about the Bible, you are implying that you have lost confidence
in Yahweh’s way and Yahweh, seeing this, may assume that you are denying His ways. He may abandon
you to the evil ones and your future won’t be worth a plugged nickel after that.
So, you see, it all boils down to this. I have explained the system of evil to you. What are you going to do
with it?
