Why Change Anything?

Some people have expressed concern about changes that they heard might be forthcoming in
Contact!!!  Some have said, “We don’t want change. We want things to be as they have always
been.” What is it about change that makes people feel hesitant?

The focus of The Contact Newsletter is not going to change much. For decades Mr. Chaffin has
preached that understanding and accepting the sacrifice of Yahshua the Messiah is the most
important first step toward a satisfying spiritual life. That focus will always continue to be the
primary direction of The Contact Newsletter. In other words, The Contact Newsletter will be
devoted to assisting you to discover and attain a more satisfying spiritual life. We want to make
it more interactive for you so that it will be less of a sermon and more of a dialog where your
concerns can be addressed in a more personal way.

Some of you are curious and would like to know more about the mysteries of the spiritual world.
In other words, to discover what is there, why it is there, and how it might affect you. This is what
Mr. Chaffin desires to accomplish with the new sister Newsletter, GASP! Both Newsletters are
intended to be published and mailed together as one unit. We are hoping that this will help to
broaden the scope of your total spiritual experience.

Why do some people feel so hesitant about change? Is it because they may feel comfortable with
their present stale existence? Is it because they may fear discovering something unpleasant
about themselves that they might have to face? Or is it just because the old rut feels much
safer? Never forget that a rut is really a grave with both ends open.

If you understand a little bit more about yourself, it can help you to understand why you do things
that you dislike. And understanding the mystery that is you, can help you to make changes for
the better. That is one of the lessons you can learn from the horoscope. Knowing the traits of
people around you can also help you relate better to them. A slight change in thinking here could
help to enrich your spiritual experience in this life.

Are you seeking a new spiritual life? Yahshua said that you must change your thinking before
you can receive it. Repent is an archaic English word that means to change your way of thinking.
So when Yahshua said, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand,” it meant “change the
way you think to draw closer to the kingdom of heaven.”

When I drive to work in the morning I do not always take the same road, there are at least five
different roads I can use to get to work. I sometimes take an alternate route so I can see what is
new, or what has changed in areas I haven’t been for awhile. You can do the same thing to
enhance your spiritual life. Choose an unfamiliar path and investigate it to see what you can add
to your present life. Don’t shut out portions of the world because of fear of the unknown. Get to
know the unknown around you. Make it known. Then you can evaluate more clearly the positive
and the negative aspects of what was once fearfully unknown to you. In that way you will begin to
understand more clearly just who you really are!

It is time to begin to update your thinking to reflect 21st Century ideas and comprehension of the
spiritual world within which we live. Our mundane material lives are not lived in a vacuum. They
are a reflection of the spiritual, or energy world that permeates and surrounds us. All of this
knowledge is contained within the pages of the Bible, and can be found if you know how and
where to look. The Contact Newsletter and Gasp will shine a powerful light in these areas in an
effort to let you see beyond your present line of sight.

The time when Yahshua came to earth to begin shining the light of truth, is often called Bible
Days by some people. Bible Days are perceived to be a time when radical changes in spiritual
ideas and comprehension were introduced. Yahshua and his Disciples (students) did a lot of
things that were called miracles by the people still stuck in the old ways of thinking. According to
this thought pattern, Bible Days ended when “miracles” were no longer performed.

Yahshua said that Believers would be able to do even greater things than he did, after he left the
earth plane. Today, some people are beginning to understand that “miracles” are a form of
energy manifestation not understood by the old ways of thinking. We can learn to do the same
things that Yahshua’s Students learned from him. And when we do, “Bible Days” will be here
again. Are you ready for the new age Bible Days? Now is the perfect time to begin to prepare
yourself.
