Studies In Spiritual Reality - Helping To Build A New Spiritual Age - Bible History / Divine Viewpoint
Integration into The Divine Mind
By C. E. Chaffin
When commanding the Continental armies of the Revolutionary War, George
Washington was once asked by a reporter: “Do you think God is on our side in this
war?” Washington’s answer: “It is not so important that He be on our side, as
whether we are on His.”

Even though George Washington was a Deist, he still didn’t hesitate to state his
belief in a Divine Mind. And, if we believe in a God, we need to understand the
importance, as did George Washington, of bringing ourselves in tune with the Infinite.
There are many who doubt the existence of a Divine Mind. But, the proof of that is
made clear by the mind of man! Man thinks, and he makes material images of his
thoughts.

This being true, it proves that there is a Divine Mind, because the Bible teaches that
creation itself was the result of thought in the Divine Mind. Yahweh created matter in
and through and by which He could express His thoughts. The galaxies, stars, solar
systems, our own sun, moon, all minerals, vegetables, all animals and even the
mortal body of man are the thoughts of Yahweh expressed in material objects. “For
He spake, and it was done; He commanded and it stood fast” (Psalm 33: 9). By this,
we realize that matter had a beginning and as it begun, so can it end.

Because we had a beginning as a thought in the mind of Yahweh, we, the core of us
that is the Spark of Yahweh, possess immortality. Material things live only as long as
there is life in them.

When life goes out of a plant or an animal or a human body, the material form dies
and returns to dust and ashes.

But, mind and life do not die! Matter is used over and over again. The same matter is
made into many different images according to the life force that is to occupy that
matter. Ultimately, all matter will be dissolved. Even our human bodies will be
dissolved, (2 Cor. 5: 1), and (Job 30: 22).

But, we, that spark inside us that is from Yahweh, are His children. We, in thought
form, were ‘with’ Yahweh before there was ever any matter.

The really BIG QUESTION is: When our life, which is our mind and soul, go out of our
material body, and the body is dead, where do we go? The answer is clearly stated in
the Bible. We will enter into another body, one in which our learning and
development toward perfection can continue, “A body hast thou prepared me,”
(Hebrews 10: 5).

The same text applies to what happens after we reach the perfection that is our goal.
When our string of lives are over, and Yahshua’s sacrifice has fully been realized, we
will not then occupy the body of an infant, but a full and complete spiritual body, for
Yahweh has prepared it for us. (2 Cor. 5: 1 – 5).

“There is a natural (earthy) body, and there is a spiritual body,” (1 Cor. 15: 44).
“This corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality,” (1
Cor. 15: 53).

So, you see, we are in a progression, and in how many higher and higher dimensions
of life we must live before we reach “the measure of the stature of the fulness of
Yahshua the Messiah” (Eph. 4: 13), is impossible for the material mind to know. But,
eventually, we all shall reach a holy state.

The progression I spoke about contains many “levels” of being. Paul speaks of a first
and a second heaven and many of the Ancient teachers left behind writings speaking
of these various “heavens.” The understanding of these heavens is based on the
Kabbalistic “Spheres” of the Tree of Life.

In the discussions of the Tree of Life, Kabbala scholars teach that the spheres and
pathways are drawn to illustrate the means by which Yahweh’s spirit descends down
to the material realm and then back up to the Ein Soph. We also came down to the
material realm by this “Route of Descension.” As we begin our ascension to the
various levels of being, expressed in the many lives we live as we develop, we climb
upward into the auras of the various spheres whose attributes assist us in
enlightening our consciousness and preparing us for ever higher levels of attainment.

Let us assume that the levels, at least basically, go this way: The first level of
ascension deals with the material realm. The realm in which we begin our ascension.
Since we live on the earth, we can understand that this first realm can present us with
a foretaste of the glory, a realization of our spiritual essence as children of Yahweh,
depending on how we choose to live life.

Connected to this level is a realm called “outer darkness” that contains fallen angels
and demons. This realm can be accessed and experienced by those humans who
are not striving to perfect their lives. Demons and fallen angels are “given
permission” by the conduct of the individual to either inhabit a miscreant or inhibit the
progress of that person’s life. When our earthly bodies die, we pass through this
realm of darkness on the way to the realm of Light, which welcomes us to higher
realms. Those of us who have adequately prepared ourselves for this astral trip must
depend upon our “guardian angels” and by our qualified friends and relatives who
have passed this way and have advanced to higher understanding.

There are twenty two pathways, illustrated by the Tree of Life, which lead from the
material realm of Malkuth, through the various levels of attainment to the highest
material level of attainment, Kether. If we are ascending in our search for
enlightenment, our spirit guides know the way through the Realm of darkness.

Beyond the Realm of darkness lies the dawning of enlightenment … in this area of
attainment we encounter THE LIGHT that so many people who have had “near death
experiences” describe.

In this first higher realm, which is ruled by the sphere of Tiphereth, we begin our time
of “higher learning” and catch our first glimpse of the “spirits of just men made
perfect” who assist us in preparing further life experiences based upon our
attainments in the mortal world thus far.

There is much to learn after we adjust to this heavenly realm. We will find that we
have traveled this route before and realize that we have returned after having existed
as “strangers and pilgrims” in the realm of Malkuth. Solomon alluded to this
adventure when he wrote: “The wind goeth toward the south, and turneth about unto
the north; it whirleth about continually, and the wind returneth again according to his
circuits. All the rivers run into the sea; yet the sea is not full: unto the place from
whence the rivers come, thither they return again.

“All things are full of labor; man cannot utter it: the eye is not satisfied with the
seeing, nor the ear filled with hearing.

“The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that
which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.

“Is there anything whereof it may be said, See, this is new? It hath been already of
old time, which was before us.

“There is no remembrance of former things; neither shall there be any remembrance
of things that are to come with those that shall come after,” (Eccl. 1: 6 – 11).

You see, in this life we have no memory of former realms of cycles of life that we
have lived. Of course, it is possible for those who are specially prepared to
retrogress their memories and reveal past lives. But, only when those revelations are
important to future progressions. Regardless of whether or not we can recall the
worlds of past lives, Yahweh does not forget: “That which hath been is now, and that
which is to be hath already been; and Yahweh requireth that which is past,” (Eccl. 3:
15).

In the book, “Secrets of Enoch” we are told that Enoch visited not only the first realm,
but the fourth, fifth, sixth and even the seventh heaven, (spheres).

There are ten levels of attainments, and twenty two pathways to the highest realm of
Kether … and it can take many lifetimes to understand all of the things there are to
learn. But, the material realm is the only one that is subject to time … we can only
constantly attempt our upper progression. Only by striving can we attain anything.

Suffice it to say:
“Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: Yet not the wisdom of this
world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: But, we speak the wisdom
of Yahweh in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which Yahweh ordained before the
world unto our glory; Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known
it, they would not have crucified the Master of glory.

“But, as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the
heart of man, the things which Yahweh hath prepared for them that love Him,
“But Yahweh hath revealed them unto us by His Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all
things, yea, the deep things of Yahweh,” (1 Corinthians 2: 6 – 10).
