Hello Friends and Fellow Contributors,
It gives me great joy to have the opportunity to write to you in a more personal way each month. I can
share with you the joys and sorrows we experience from here in our small, eclectic worldwide
headquarters. In a lot of ways, you are our monitor of the rest of the world which gives us a glimpse into
the direction this world is going.
When we hear from you the joy you have when you help someone find their way in a confused and
chaotic life, we know that the global mind of the world is in an upbeat mood. When you tell us of your
frustration and disappointment in the situations around you, we know that it is a reflection of the global
mindset of the rest of the world. And most sadly, when we don’t hear from you at all, we understand that
the world is in a malaise of spiritual indifference.
The American Culture is being destroyed before our very eyes and few people seem to notice, or even
care. The divorce rate in America is so high that more families are divorced than not. Just a few days ago
a woman commented to me, “I am divorced, and I just assumed that everyone has been divorced at least
once.”
Forty percent of all babies born in America today are born to unmarried women. A growing percentage of
these women are in their thirties.
The assault on the Christian religion in America continues to increase from every direction. One of
America’s fine Universities just this week ordered the cross to be removed from the University chapel.
They think it might offend someone!
Just yesterday, Pope Benedict, in a gesture of reconciliation, bowed his head in prayer inside an Islamic
Mosque. He was trying to make amends for offending Moslems by quoting a true historical statement a
few months ago. Seems to me he should be more concerned about offending the Savior he claims to
represent.
How do you see the world today in your neck of the woods? I would really like to know.
