Beyond Quantum Theology: Third Principle
By Dr. Gary Hanson Ph.D.
Wisdom & Understanding

The September 1956 issue of the Scientific American Magazine reviewed the scientific understanding of
the Universe current at that time.
Scientist George Gamow wrote, “We have reviewed the questions that dominated the thinking of
cosmologists during the first half of this century: the conception of a four-dimensional space-time
continuum of curved space, of an expanding universe, and of a cosmos which is either finite or infinite.
Now we must consider the present major issue in cosmology: Is the universe, in truth, evolving, or is it in a
steady state of equilibrium that has always existed and will go on through eternity?”
Fred Hoyle’s comment in the same issue of the magazine was, “The theory of a steady-state universe
leads to many startling conclusions: that the universe had no beginning and will have no end, that space,
as well as time is infinite, that matter is continually being created throughout space—to mention a few…
The steady state theory holds that the large scale features of the universe do not change with time. Only
the galaxies and clusters of galaxies change.”
During the past 50 years a ton of knowledge has been learned about the universe by studying quantum
science, the genetics of DNA, and the development of nanotechnology. But are scientists any closer to
understanding the Universe, itself?
Is the universe, and all that it contains, evolving from a simple structure to an ever more complex
structure?
Or has the Universe been eternally constant with the only changes being the birth, life-span, and death of
galaxies and the physical matter it contains?
Or does another answer provide for the existence of the Cosmos?
Let’s go back into history and see how we got to where we are today. History follows a linear path, and
there are many paths that course through history, depending on where you begin and where you want to
end. If you really want to think about it, history exists only in the mind of man. Truth, on the other hand,
exists in the mind of the Cosmos.
Approximately every 2000 years the earth passes through a Procession of the Zodiac from one
Astrological sign to another. The energy from the dominating Astrological sign at the time, influences the
thinking and behavioral traits of the collective mind of the people on the planet.
You are probably more familiar with the monthly Astrological signs under which you are born. These signs
influence how you perceive the world around you, and how you interact with others and with your personal
environment. Your Astrological sign can also point out some of the obstacles and restrictions you might
encounter during the course of your life.
The dawning of the Age of Pisces began around the time of the birth and life of Yahshua the Messiah.
Pisces was associated with the Messiah and was symbolized by the sign of the fish, even as it is today in
the Christian Church.
Pisces is generally associated as a duality of opposites, as its symbol of a two headed fish going in
opposite directions suggests. And this duality began to dominate the thinking of the Christian world.
In AD 70, when Yahshua the Messiah came to receive the 144,000 saints who would make up the
“government” of the Kingdom of Heaven, the “left behind” church was left leaderless. One of the false
ideas that the “Church Fathers” began to perpetuate was the idea of separating one’s life into a duality of
sacred and secular. It was as if your physical existence had nothing to do with your spiritual life.
In other parts of the world this Piscean duality was not as apparent as in the Christianized Western world.
The collective human mind was dominated by the thinking of Western Civilization for hundreds of years.
During the Dark Ages, this sacred/secular duality also evolved into a religion/science duality.  The Church
taught, on pain of death, that the earth was created by the Creator God a mere 6000 years ago. They
arrived at this figure by taking the Genesis Creation story literally, that the earth was created in 6 days,
and the Creator rested on the Seventh day. II Peter 3:8 says that 1000 years is as a day with the Messiah,
and a day is as a thousand years.  They reasoned that this is an indication that the 6 days of creation
were really 6000 years. Furthermore, Revelation says that the saints will rule the earth for a one thousand
year Millennium before Satan is loosed for awhile. Those 1000 years represented the Seventh day of
creation in their Theology.
Scientific discoveries, however, proved those Theological ideas to be in error. The earth and the Universe
are much, much older than 6000 years.
Some Scientists concluded that there was no Creator God, and that the Universe just popped into
existence all on its own. Over billions of years, the Universe became more and more complex, and more
intelligent simply through trial and error. They called that process Evolution. Some Theologians accepted
the Evolutionary Theory but added the caveat that the Creator God began the process of Evolution and
then let it go on its own.
Today, in the beginning of the twenty-first century, the earth is leaving the influence of the Age of Pisces
and entering the Age of Aquarius. The transitional generations are already being born who will become
the mindset for the Aquarian age. The duality of Pisces will fade away as the last Piscean generation
passes away, and the new Aquarian generations begin to take hold.
The Aquarian mind is not nearly as controlling and restrictive as the Piscean mind was.  Spiritual diversity
is becoming the mindset of the collective mind under Aquarian influence. The sacred/secular thinking is
slowly being replaced by the body/mind/spirit thinking. And the walls between religion and science are
beginning to crumble.
Quantum science is ultimately the study of energy fields beyond the level of energy experienced in the
material world. In essence, Quantum Theory is beginning to verify the existence of a powerful energy
world that upholds and supports the material realm of existence.
The steady-state theory of the universe falls short of the scientific knowledge that exists today. Scientists
believe they have seen the edge of the universe, and that it is, therefore, not infinite. The idea of an
expanding universe accelerating from a central point at the speed of light also speaks against the steady-
state theory. That is the Big Bang Theory. And the recent discovery of something called “dark matter” is
also puzzling. They do not know what it is, but think it might be the fabric of space, itself. What they do
know is that even though dark matter is so light that it is virtually undetectable, yet it is so abundant that it
is heavier than all of the matter in the present universe.
Where can we find the answer to explain the existence of the Cosmos?
One place to look is in the Rig Veda, the ancient sacred book of India. No one knows who wrote it, or
when, but it is at least 4000 years old, and claims to have been given to man from the Cosmos. It says, “In
the beginning there was neither existence nor nonexistence.  All of this world was unmanifested energy.
The one breathed without breath, by its own power. Nothing else was there.”
This verse in the Rig Veda tells us that there was a beginning to the material universe, or the world. But
prior to the Cosmos being manifested in material form, there existed unmanifested energy. It was neither
existence nor nonexistence. Another way of saying it, is that something was there, but it could not be seen
or detected. It was a form of potential energy.
This goes beyond the steady-state idea that suggests that the material universe was and is eternal, and is
eternally able to renew itself by recycling dead and decaying galaxies into new ones.
But the Rig Veda says that the “One” existed before the material universe was manifested.
When Moses asked the Almighty who he was, Moses was told, “Tell the people I AM THAT I AM.”
Translated into English this means, “I exist by my own power.” The Rig Veda identified the Almighty as “the
one breathed without breath by its own power.”
The Kabbalah says, “Before God manifested himself, when all things were still hidden in him, he was the
least known of all the unknowns…  He began by forming an imperceptible point; that was his own thought.
With this thought he then began to construct a mysterious and holy form; finally he covered it with a rich,
radiant garment—that is to say, the universe, whose name necessarily enters into the name of God.”
Universe means “to turn into one.”  That is to say, the material universe came from the One, and when it is
finished, will return to the One. That is why the Universe is named after God, or the One.
Before the Universe was manifested, when the one breathed without breath, all things were still hidden in
him (the One).  The entire Universe existed only in his thoughts. When he was ready to manifest the
material universe, it says he focused the thought, or idea of the universe into a tiny point, much like
focusing sunlight on a tiny spot with a magnifying glass. His thought energy then expanded out in the form
of immutable laws that would intelligently govern the material universe. This includes, but is not limited to
laws of physics, chemistry, electro-magnetics, electricity, gravity, atomics, conservation, natural selection,
DNA activity, and environmental laws governing flora and fauna interactivity. That is the construct of the
mysterious and holy form. As the expanding energy from the hyper-energetic thoughts began to cool,
matter began to form as plasma and hot gases. This material then became subject to the pre-existing
laws, eventually becoming what we experience today as a rich and vibrant universe and world.
As you can see, the Universe did not spring into existence on its own.  It was part of a well thought out
plan.  The Universe was conceived and brought into being with total wisdom and understanding. The One
continues to manage the universe with wisdom and understanding, simply by thinking.
You are a thinking Being, and are an extension of the One.
Understanding the Universe is the beginning of Wisdom!
Wisdom and Understanding are an integral part of the Universe. When you look up into the sky you can
see millions of stars in a beautiful canopy that displays perfection and order. With large telescopes you
can see infant star systems being formed according to a pattern of various laws and forces that never
change. In other areas you can see the destruction of various star systems and planets following a pattern
of eternal, never changing laws.
How much knowledge and understanding were necessary to create stars and planets? What kind of
Consciousness is necessary to flawlessly sustain the dynamics of star systems and galaxies for billions of
years without any end in sight?
Most planets in the universe are hostile to carbon based life as we know it. However, there are estimated
to be millions of planets that can presently sustain carbon based life. The parameters that contribute to
the environment that can safely protect and nourish carbon based life, are exponentially small, and yet the
possibilities are there. How much information and knowledge are necessary to create and sustain an earth-
like environment for billions of years?
When you look closely at the ecology of our planet earth, it appears to function as one unit. But on closer
inspection you will find that there are millions of species of life-forms, from one celled amoebae, to myriad
insects, to a huge assortment of air, sea and land animals. And each of these interact
with others. Add to that a huge assortment of plant life, each of which interacts with its assigned living
creatures in a bewildering variety of ways. Our limited human brains still have trouble grasping all of the
minute details governing the smooth operation of our earth’s environment and ecology. How much
knowledge and understanding were required to put it all together billions of years ago so that it would all
function flawlessly?
How much wisdom and understanding were needed to construct your human body? What kind of
knowledge and understanding were required to determine how life would enter and exit the body? You
consist of more than a physical body. You have a vital body, an etheric body, an astral body, a soul body,
in addition to you, the Spark of life. What kind of understanding and wisdom were necessary to putting all
of that together into one cohesive unit?
Quantum scientists are beginning to realize that our world, and our existence, is made up of energy.
Furthermore, they are coming to know that energy is the flow of information. That is why I call it energy-
information.  There is a Mind that tends to the flawless function of the Universe. There is a Consciousness
that interacts with the universe and everything in it.
John Hagalin, Ph.D. author of Physics of Consciousness, states that the Universe is actually a unified field
of Consciousness. All forces, laws, and all forms of matter are merely ripples in that field of
Consciousness. Our human existence is part of that Cosmic Consciousness. As he put it, “The Universe is
a symphony of the Unified Field.”
In a symphony you have a conductor and an assembly of musicians playing a variety of instruments to
produce a sound. All of the elements that make up the Universe and the earth, including its earthly
inhabitants, make up the symphony and its conductor. The sound, or music created by the symphony, is
the symphony’s purpose. The purpose of human life, therefore, is an extension of the purpose of the
Unified Field, or the Cosmos.
Since the Universe is guided by a Mind of understanding and wisdom, and since we are extensions of that
Conscious Mind, we can have access to that same understanding and wisdom.
Does the Bible support this kind of Quantum thinking? Absolutely!
In Deuteronomy 4:5-9 Moses taught the people of Israel their Cosmic purpose. They had just received the
Ten Commandments that would define their moral values, and had received statutes and judgments
(divine law) that would govern their nation. Up until this point, laws came from the mouth of the Pharaoh or
the king of each nation. But now the Intelligence of the Universe was determined to create a nation ruled
by law. “Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the Eternal enjoined me, that you
should follow them in the land when you go to possess it. Keep and do them, for this is your wisdom and
your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes and say, ‘surely this
great nation is a wise and understanding people. What nation is there so great whose God is so close to
them as The Eternal is to us that we can call upon him?’ And what nation is so great that has statutes and
divine law as righteous as all of these laws I have set before you today?”
In this series of studies Beyond Quantum Theology, you have been learning about the Universal
Principles that rule this Universe. If human civilization were governed as well as the Universe is, you would
have Utopia, or Paradise, or Heaven on earth. The nation of Israel was established for one purpose, and
one purpose alone. And that was to create the Kingdom of Heaven on earth by rule of Universal, or divine
law.
Exodus 19:5 quotes The Eternal as saying, “If you will obey my voice and keep my covenant, then you
shall be a special treasure to me above all people, for the earth is mine.”
The Eternal had established a covenant, or compact with the people after they had agreed to it saying,
“All that you have said, we will do.” This would be similar to the Mayflower Compact that was agreed to
before the Pilgrims stepped off the ship. It was a set of laws that would govern the Jamestown Colony. The
most famous covenant today, of course, is the United States Constitution. It was agreed to by the thirteen
Colonies. Why did The Eternal say these people would be a special treasure to him? It was because they
would set the example to the rest of the world of how to live prosperously and joyfully, under divine,
Universal law.
Exodus 19:6 continues, “You shall be unto me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation…”
What does it mean to be a kingdom of priests? A priest is an intercessor. An intercessor is someone who
mediates between The Eternal and humanity. Israel would be a nation that would be in direct contact with
the Cosmic Mind, or The Eternal. Other nations could come to Israel for Divine guidance.  For a short
period of time, under the leadership of King Solomon, this actually did happen. People from all over the
world came to seek his wisdom and understanding.  But eventually, Divine wisdom and understanding
faded from Israel.
How can you tap into the flow of wisdom and understanding from the universe?  Psalms 111:10 gives us
the first clue. It says, “Reverence of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom. A good understanding have all
they that do his commandments…”
How do you do his commandments? Solomon explains in Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in YAHWEH with all your
heart, and lean not unto your own understanding.  In all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct
(make straight) your paths.”
As pointed out earlier, Quantum scientists have discovered that the Universe is one unified field of
consciousness and intelligence. Deuteronomy 6:4-5 echoes the same sentiments. “Listen, O Israel, The
Eternal is One. And you shall love The Eternal with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your
might.”
We are all extensions of the Universal Intelligence. We all have access to the wisdom and understanding
of the Universe, if we know how to open ourselves up to it. And the key is to love The Eternal totally and
unconditionally. That is how you open up to the flow of Universal wisdom and understanding.
Paul quite often made a distinction between the wisdom of humanity, and the wisdom of The Eternal.  For
example, in Colossians 2:2-3, he mentions “…acknowledgement of the mystery of The Eternal, and of the
Father, and of Messiah in whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.”
What is the mystery of The Eternal in this context? The Eternal is one unified force field. The Father, the
Cosmic Mind, is the author of all wisdom and knowledge. The Messiah is the dispenser of wisdom and
knowledge to us.
Would you like to have more wisdom in your life? James says to ask for it. James 1:5, “If anyone lack
wisdom, let him ask of The Eternal, who gives to everyone liberally, and does not defame, and it shall be
given him.”
Paul indicates in Colossians 1:9 that we should desire to “be filled with the knowledge of his will in all
wisdom and spiritual understanding.”
There is a Cosmic will to accomplish a Cosmic purpose. And you should desire to know the purpose of the
Universe, and your part in it. Part of your purpose is to use the Universal Principles to do good things for
others, and secondly, to learn and understand more about The Eternal (Colossians 1:10).
Paul continues by saying in Colossians 1:27 that part of the mystery is “Messiah in you.” When you open
up to the mind of Messiah, and it melds with your mind, the wisdom and understanding of Messiah
becomes directly available to you.
Understanding that you are part of the unified field of Consciousness is a very important part of attaining
wisdom and understanding. Ephesians 4:3-7 says, “Endeavoring to keep the unity of the spirit in the bond
of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, even as you are called in one hope of your calling. One
Master, one faith, one baptism, one Eternal and Father of us all, who is above all, and through all, and in
you all.”
Pray for more understanding. Pray for greater wisdom. Pray for a more comprehensive understanding of
The Eternal that is above all, and through all, and more importantly, in you all. Pray to understand the will
of The Eternal in your own life. Pray to better understand your personal part in the purpose of the
Universe.
When you are tense and stressed out during your work day, pray that you will let go and allow Cosmic will
to flow through your present circumstance. And always be grateful for even the tiniest happenstance in
your daily life! Then you will be wise!
